| "It's not that hard to believe..." He sipped at his drink, feeling just a bit more bold this evening. His confidence rising a bit.
"I tend to be working the night shift quite often, so it's hard to find things to go out and do with people at times. My clients just enjoy the fact that I don't be more forward about things. I just help with transportation and keeping the person safe until the night is over."
He felt like he was admitting a lot with that. It wasn't often that people were more interested in him when his cousins were around or known by them. | |

He worked the night shift? The raven wondered why he didn’t see Tsugaru around the club more often. He definitely wouldn’t mind seeing him on a regular basis. Although, he found it hard to believe that people wouldn’t be interested in being with him instead of having him escort.
Psyche leaned closer, turning his head so he could face Tsugaru directly, ”I find it extremely hard to believe that no one would want to be with you more often.” He smiled playfully, cocking his head to the side a little ”You’re not exactly all that hard to look at.”

| He smiled a bit more, "I look just like my cousins."
Psyche was getting to him so badly though, he wanted to ask if Psyche was interested. It might be fun to actually go out to eat with him. Maybe come here more often with clients. Usually he avoided this place so that he didn't have to run into Delic or risk his clients running to Delic if anything happened.
"What about you? I don't see you being single." He wanted to shake his head at his own question. That was nosy of him. | |

Oh? He was starting to flirt a bit back? Psyche was surprised that he was taking the chance. ”You do look a lot like your brother…but you have something different about you. Something more…honest.” Psyche honestly liked that feature about Tsugaru. Delic was always coy and playful and teasing. Tsugaru seemed to be honest and kind without any games or twisted words.
”You’re looking at me being single right now actually,” Psyche said with a small smile. His cheeks flushed slightly and he looked away, ”In fact I’ve never really been on a real date before. The last guy I was with…we…we just decided we were better off as friends.”

| Tsugaru shook his head, smiling just a bit more and deciding to do what Psyche had done to him, "I can't believe that. You're far to sweet to be alone, but I'm glad you aren't seeing anyone here." With some of the people here, he would have been worried if Psyche had been dating one.
There were too many drunks and bad people that were visitors to places like this for Psyche to be getting mixed up with. Psyche seemed happy the the way he was now. | |

Psyche’s cheeks tinged darker. A shy grin formed on his face and he couldn’t help but chuckle a little from embarrassment. He was the one who was supposed to be making Tsugaru flustered! Not the other way around!
”Th-thanks...I guess I’ve just been waiting for the right person.” Psyche glanced around briefly before laughing, ”And this crowd doesn’t really show anyone promising. However, I think I’ve met someone who I’d be interested in seeing again.”
Psyche’s pink eyes flickered up to glance at Tsugaru, hoping he got the message. He didn’t want to be too brazen or bold with him, but he didn’t want to lose his chance getting to meet someone nice. Maybe it was the fact Tsugaru looked like Delic and that made him want to try things out with him. It was more likely the fact Tsugaru was honestly a kind person who made him feel happy.

Tsugaru looked back at him, stomach clenching a bit at the news. "You have? This person has to be something then." He didn't want to talk about this anymore. Quickly as it was that his hopes for talking more with Psyche somewhere other than behind this counter, it appeared that Psyche was interested in someone else.
That was good though. He would be a good person about it and let Psyche do whatever he pleased. | |

Psyche glanced up at Tsugaru and noticed his unease. Did he not catch that Psyche was talking about him? He figured it was possible. He knew that if he wanted Tsugaru to get the message, he'd have to be a bit more obvious about it.
”He sure is. I've only spoken with him once, but I've seen him around. He seems like a really nice guy, if not a bit dense,” the brunet purred as he slid over until he slipped between Tsugaru and the counter. He looked up at him with a teasing yet inviting grin.
”I'm thinking about asking him out after my shift. You think he'll say yes?” He asked innocently..

His smile faltered. Tsugaru still seemed to be oblivious. ”You think so?” He moved a bit closer until their bodies were nearly touching, ”What would you say if I were to ask you –?”
”Psyche! Stop flirting and start making drinks!”
Psyche glanced over at his co-worker who was just coming back from his break. He looked annoyed and psyche realized that it was because more people lining up at the bar for a drink.
Sheepishly, Psyche brushed aside Tsugaru to start taking orders. ”I’ll get the orders and you mix them up, ok?” The raven quickly changed gears into working mode and began to bargain with the buzzed crowd, asking if they’d like to try sample shots or buy any appetizers off the menu. He made sure that as he leaned over his body was angled in just the right way to keep Tsugaru’s attention on him. He pulled out all the stops, using every trick Delic had taught him to try and get Tsugaru to notice him.

| Tsugaru was glued to him at any chance he had that wasn't on the drinks. Falling out of the shocked stupor that the brunet had thrown him into, he rushed to make drinks. So that was what it was like to be flirted with.
He grinned a bit as he continued to make the drinks that Psyche called to him, feeling like he was smiling like a fool at times when he would see Psyche throw a smile his way, his gaze flickering over to see the brunet leaning over the counter in the most unusual and captivating position he had ever seen.
Drinks!
He had to focus on the work at hand. His mind was distracted though. He found himself sneaking a couple glances to the cheat sheet now because of it. What if Psyche asked him? He would have said yes, without hesitation. Now that he thought about it, it made him embarrassed all the more though. | |

The two continued to silently flirt with one another for the rest of the night. Hours passed, playful banter and conversation was shared, and Psyche was certain that Tsugaru wasn’t going to be the first one to speak up about a possible date. It was late at night, nearly three a.m. when Psyche’s shift was officially over. Luckily, the next bartender – who was a professional one at that – was coming in.
Psyche sighed, happy to see his freedom just around the corner. He handed out his last drink and pulled the apron away from his waist. He threw it over his shoulder and started to quickly wipe the counters he was working at so they were clean for the next employee.
Turning, he faced Tsugaru and cocked his head toward the back door. “Your shift ended with mine, since you were here to help me out.” He smiled and opened the door that led to the back room, “Mind keeping me company while I clean up?”

| "Of course," he hurried after the brunet, not needing to stay after and have to face the customers alone. Some of them were giving him the most disturbing looks.
"I should probably be changing out of this anyway," he continued as he motioned to the suit he was wearing. It wasn't terrible, but he liked his yukata. The weight of his haori was somewhat of a comfort to him as well. | |

“That’s fine. Feel free to change.” Psyche turned, busying himself with the small employee cubicles where he kept his casual clothes folded. He kept his back turned toward Tsugaru as he unbuttoned his work shirt and slipped it off. Luckily his pants were comfortable enough for him to wear them outside of work as well. But his work shirt had the club logo embroidered on the of it, so he traded that for a loose fitting pink v-neck.
He wondered if Tsugaru was watching him change. He wasn’t completely naked, but even a bare back was sometimes enough to catch someone’s attention. He smirked to himself, slowly pulling his shirt over his head and onto his body. He tugged on the bottom to smooth out the wrinkles and folded up his work shirt to put into the small white duffle bag he used to carry his clothes.

| His gaze was glued as soon as he saw the shirt go up.
Blue eyes trailing over the pale, flawless skin of Psyche's back; he was enraptured by it. It beguiled him to continue to watch. One hand on his own tie to loosen it, other hand limb against his side, he wasn't even started on changing when he say Psyche's slow movements. Seeing the other shirt being put on, a good portion of him wanted to pull it right back of and touch him.

And then he was making a sound, turning around and beginning to change in a rush. Really? Watching someone else change!? What on earth was wrong with him! It must have been the drinks. He should get back to his own job and move along. It was getting late anyway, so his client was probably drunk off her wits and in need of being taken home. | |

Psyche smiled as he turned back around, catching Tsugaru out of the corner of his eye. It was flattering to see such a response to him simply changing shirts. He quickly finished changing, stuffing the rest of his clothes into his duffle bag before turning around completely. He watched as Tsugaru pulled his haori over his yukata and smiled; he had Tsugaru right where he wanted him.
“Alright, I think I’ll be heading home now. And you have a client to take care of I assume?” Psyche asked briefly as he slung his bag over his shoulder.

| Tsugaru looked over and nodded, "She should be taken back before she gets herself into any trouble." Clients were typically getting into immense trouble by the time they were this far into the night after several drinks.
He straightened his haori and nodded towards the brunet, "I'm glad I could help you out, umm..." Come to think of it, he had never actually confirmed that was the brunet's name. He had assumed. | |

The raven reached out a hand to shake Tsugaru’s politely, “Psyche. My name is Psyche. ” He couldn’t help but smile brightly at him, his grip tightening ever so slightly. There seemed to be a spark between them; a sensation that ran up his arm and gave him chills.
He suddenly wasn’t sure if he could ask him out. This feeling was making him nervous and made his throat close up when he thought about trying to ask him out. Out front, the playful flirting and teasing was easy; it was almost expected. But back here, it was more personal and intimate. He suddenly felt insecure and exposed.
“Will I see you again? ” he asked curiously, desperate to know if he would ever see him again or if this was his only chance at asking him out.

| Tsugaru felt something spark from them shaking hands as well, hearing Psyche's question, he shrugged a bit.
"I tend to avoid coming here for the fact that Delic works here." Even though he and the host were getting along somewhat well these days, they avoided one another's local haunts. It wasn't fair to customers who confused them for each other as well.
As much as he really wanted to just keep coming back just to see Psyche. "I might stop in again, but the only reason tonight happened was because my employer could not manage to persuade my client to another place." | |

Psyche was…extremely disappointed. He was hoping Tsugaru would come by to see him. However, Delic was a variable he had never expected to be in the mix. It seemed like as long as Delic was around, Tsugaru wouldn’t come. Which meant that as long as Delic and Psyche were friends…
…it would never work.
Psyche’s shoulders sagged slightly as he let go of Tsugaru’s hand and let it fall to his side. “Then I guess this is goodbye? ” he murmured quietly. There was no reason to ask now. The answer would most likely be no, and Psyche wasn’t sure if he could handle another rejection. Although he wasn’t sure what was worse: a rejection, or not having the chance to ask.

| Once more he felt a great sorrow overtake him. So Psyche wasn't thinking of asking him out. He sighed, turning around.
"I hope to see you again sometime, Psyche."
He headed back into the front area, unwilling to look and see how happy Psyche would be without him. He would just hold onto what fun it had been to be able to help the brunet out and take that as his reward. His client was waiting impatiently for him, fuming over something or other. | |

Psyche watched Tsugaru leave, the door swinging shut behind him on the way out. He felt empty, as if he had missed something big in his life. Even though he had only been with the blond for a few hours -- most of the time working nonstop -- he still felt like he had connected with him. Now Psyche doubted he would ever see Tsugaru again.
He forced himself to not tear up despite how badly he wanted to, and headed out. He didn’t say goodbye to anyone at the club. He didn’t want to bother talking to anyone right now. He even passed by Delic’s booth and didn’t even give it a second glance. He couldn't even if he wanted to: Delic merely reminded him of what he just missed out on.
He walked outside, shivering despite how muggy and warm it was. How had Tsugaru done thing to him? Just when he had managed to patch himself up from his last failed relationship, Tsugaru had come along and lifted him so high only to drop him again. Of course, it wasn't Tsugaru's fault; it's not like he knew that Psyche couldn't handle rejection or loneliness well. Still... Psyche never expected Tsugaru to have such an effect on him.
How could one person shake his world so much that he felt lost again?
